[[wysiwyg_imageupload:380:]]The southern edge of the Manifattura complex is bordered by the Leno river, a small tributary of the Adige river, just 150 meters away. In project terms, this area immediately became a focus of the relationship between the complex and the local community. It is the connection between production and publc uses that will be hallmark of the renewed Manifattura.
Archtectural firm Kengo Kuma & Associates is designing the preliminary project for three buildins that wil be home to several public functions: auditorium, gym, training center, bar, restaurant, ecc.
The waterfront will be the southern access to the complex, with ramps leading up from the bike/pedestrian path to the green roof. From there pedestrians can reach the historic area at the north part of the complex.
Which activites to accomodate this area was the subject of a co-design exercise with the Urban Center, an office of the City of Roverety which carries out community relations activities for urban planning.
