Trentino region joins the Climate-KIC, the biggest think tank on climate change in Europe

New funds are available for the Trentino SMEs, startups, research and training centres thanks to the new partnership between the Trentino hub for innovation HIT and the Climate KIC, the European Knowledge and Innovation Community on climate change.  The KIC counts on a 85-million-euro budget and promotes the development of green projects and studies.

“This partnership enhances the role of HIT as a provider of new funding opportunities for its members and the whole Trentino region. Our hub is working hard in order to gain ground as an international innovation centre and this agreement shows that we are on well on track” said Anna Gervasoni, chairwoman at HIT.

The Trentino Sviluppo managing director Sergio Anzelini added: “This is another interesting opportunity for the 50 enterprises having their headquarters within our green hub Progetto Manifattura and for the startups that will join us in the next few months, because they will be able to count on new business acceleration programmes and on a network that is competitive in European terms. This means that they can expand their market thanks to this new connections and, above all, that they will have the chance to raise their innovation level thanks to targeted cooperation in the applied research and technology transfer field”.
